(That’s hello kids in Latin)
You may remember I mentioned I was going to Budapest on the last post so, I did and already left after 15 days, I could tell how, once again, I barely made it to the boarding gate on time but it’s getting repetitive.Instead I’m gonna tell about this Demon I’ve been trying to expel from my body for the past 15 days.
I was possessed in Spain, I’m sure one of my friends was the vessel and the Demon was looking for the body of an innocent victim to work its evil ways, I’m sure that’s how it found me.
I arrived in Budapest and the first week was horrible.
I sounded like poor Shorty:
Was spitting like poor Regan:
Prepared all teas known to human, the kitchen looked like if a witch lived there and was preparing potions on the daily basis (and because nobody was cleaning it).
Then I moved to hard core drugs, like NyQuil and DayQuil, together with some good old Latin lessons I slowly managed to cast the Demon away.
Then I met with the Hungarian Team in a town called Tata for what I came down in the first place, to train
It was a great workout, even tho I was coughing and grossing people out because the spitting and snot throwing.
Then it got really cold again, snowed and rained, but I managed to pull some nice workouts and the Demon remained dormant.
Cold? Nah! Just looks like it. Workout was nice but I’m still coughing and spitting like Regan from The Exorcist. #racewalking #marchaatletica #racewalker #racewalk #budapest #winterwotkout #letitsnow #letitgoooooo #letsbuildasnowman #fronzeleticiasabater @leticiasabateralonso #margaretisland @aheartynomad #longworkout
However, yesterday I travel to Dudince, for the first big race of the season, trip was a bit hectic but made it in one piece. This morning I was awaken by the Demon.
The f*cker is back and fighting with all its might.
Needles to say I’m back preparing potions and whenever I go to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror I repeat over and over this verse:
Crux sacra sit mihi lux! Nunquam draco sit mihi dux. Vade retro Satana! Nunquam suade mihi vana! Sunt mala quae libas. Ipse venena bibas!
All because tomorrow is race day and without help from the supernatural world I won’t be able to make it and live to tell you about it.
Tomorrow I’ll have 50km to repeat all the Latin chants I’ve learned.
Now I’m gonna pick up my number and loosen up my possessed muscles.
Tell me, what have been up to?
Have you ever been possessed?
How’s your latin?
You like pea soup?
I promise I’ll reply your comments shortly, I really appreciate them and your messages.
